Wen Jen LIN shares, “No matter what I do, I fully commit myself—whether in my career, my interests, or my daily life. I believe in giving my all to everything I pursue.” With an intense passion for life and an unwavering belief in excellence, he holds himself to the highest standards of perfection. Each stage of his life is guided by different goals, and through constant practice and refinement, he has cultivated a well-rounded personality that balances both intellect and action.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Wen Jen LIN has actively participated in various competitions, including cycling, running, motorsports, triathlons, and motorcycle riding. His physical endurance and resilience are remarkable. Painting, however, has been his passion since childhood. Over 16 years of dedicated weekly art lessons have not only brought him inner peace but also sharpened his keen observation of the environment and ability to make independent judgments. Even after achieving success in his career, he continues to seek guidance from renowned artists worldwide, further refining his distinctive painting style.

“The Best Inspiration for Creation Comes from Living Life with Passion”

Wen Jen LIN has a deep love for nature and outdoor adventures, always eager to learn and observe the world around him. Sitting before a canvas, he engages in a dialogue with his inner self, allowing his brushstrokes to flow freely and manifest scenes of realism and abstraction—this is the magic of artistic creation.

For this exhibition, he presents a selection of his early still-life works alongside his signature landscape series, which capture the essence of his travels through photography and painting. The main visual theme of the exhibition, “Glimmering Impressions”, features a series of forest paintings where backlighting intricately portrays the interplay of space among aspen trees, immersing viewers in a mysterious and tranquil atmosphere. His “Mountain Scenery” series employs bold, precise palette knife techniques to depict mountain ridges and light-shadow dynamics, expanding the viewer’s perspective into vast landscapes. In the “Water Reflections” series, multiple layers of paint build up the composition, symbolizing the process of refining one’s thoughts, while the shimmering reflections on the water’s surface subtly reveal profound depth and clarity.

Wen Jen LIN’s artistic process is rooted in rational composition, where light and shadow intertwine within a dynamic spatial setting. His layered brushstrokes evoke deep emotions, bringing to life the beauty within his mind. As part of this exhibition, Wen Jen LIN will donate proceeds from his painting sales to several rural elementary schools, including Shijiao Elementary School in Dongshi District, Dalin Elementary School in Xinshe District, and Fumin Elementary School in Xinshe District. These schools have been the recipients of his ongoing charitable contributions over the years. While small donations may seem modest, they make a significant impact on these schools. Additionally, this initiative allows art collectors to extend their generosity, turning their appreciation for art into meaningful support for education.
